Mind

Mind recognise the importance of having those open, honest conversations around mental health – even if they’re uncomfortable. Everyone, from adults to children, deserves to get the mental health support and respect that best suits them, which is why Mind are on a mission to make a difference across England and Wales. Home of life-changing information and resources for all, Mind seek to make others feel less alone on their mental health journey, fighting to improve services offered across the UK for good.

Charlie Waller

Charlie Waller is a mental health charity in the UK, founded by the family of Charlie Waller, who suffered from depression and died by suicide in 1997. With a focus on the mental wellbeing of children and young people, the charity aims to provide parents, carers, teachers and communities with the tools to recognise and support those at risk, while empowering young people with the confidence they need to thrive. No one should feel like they’re alone on this journey, which is what the Charlie Waller charity is all about.

“At Charlie Waller, we work across schools, universities, families and workplaces to provide practical, evidence-based mental health training and resources – helping people to better understand and manage their mental wellbeing, and spot the early signs in those they are close to. At Flackstock, we’ll be hosting a small stand with our Heart to Art exchange – a space to pause, reflect, share and get creative– encouraging festivalgoers to express themselves and support one another through art and words.” - Hannah Vickery, CEO at Charlie Waller Trust.

Samaritans

Answering over 134 million calls in the last 70 years, Samaritans offer support for whoever needs an ear to listen, a shoulder to lean on, or a helping hand to guide them, aiming to prevent suicide through the power of human connection. Working with schools, prisons, hospitals and community, Samaritans support those struggling with their mental health, helping to prevent the risk of suicide with equity, diversity, and inclusion at the heart of everything they do.

Listening volunteers will also be on-hand at Flackstock for anyone who’d like to talk – and are available to call anytime on 116 123, free of charge.

“We’re so proud to be part of Flackstock and are grateful to Caroline’s family and friends for continuing to support Samaritans. One in four of us will experience suicidal thoughts at some point in our lives, so it’s crucial everyone knows help is available. The money raised will help our volunteers continue to provide emotional support, 24/7.” – Laura Woodcock, Head of Community & Events at Samaritans

Choose Love

Rooted in the ethos that love can change the world, Choose Love advocate for all kinds of humans across the globe, offering support to those uprooted by conflict, disaster and climate emergency. Around since 2015, Choose Love has raised millions to help support struggling refugees, working to make a positive impact in 50 countries and counting.
